Financial Brokers

Financial institutions or entities that perform the brokerage function by bringing together parties who need funds with those who have savings.  They perform the economic function of assisting in matching the demand and supply of funds.  Investment bankers often serve as financial brokers in the sale of corporate stocks and bonds.  Mortgage bankers also function as financial brokers when they become involved in acquiring and placing mortgages.  The mortgage banker locates institutional and other investors for mortgages.
